Right now, as I'm travelling, I couchsurf

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in a 22. floor apartement smack in the middle of Hong Kong whith an amazing host, and then with a family in Darwin who were so nice that we returned and couchsurfed with them a second time a couple of months later. Been couchsurfing some more even since that in Hawaii and Mexico City.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Cohen brothers, Humphrey Bogart, Chan-wook Park, Wes Anderson, The Wire, Singin' In the Rain, Amelie Poulin, Roy Anderson, The Departed, Blade Runner, Oto y Ana, City of God, Marx brothers, Clint Eastwood, Bill Murray, anything really that in some way or another amuses/fascinates/surprises or something like that. Loves movies really, am more or less omnivorous when it comes to it.

Books? Woha, don't get me started! Your eyelids will be drooping within a couple of minutes..and when you wake up the next day i'll still be going on.. Well, a shortlist would have to include something like Melville, Camus, Kafka, Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Douglas Adams, Wilde, Gogol, Bulgakov, Crime novels, Allesandro Boffa, Solstad, Kundera, Jules Verne, Kant, Heidegger, Aristotle, Davidson, Zizek and Aaah!! Goddammit, too much, too much!!

Music..aah one of lifes greatest, most diverse and useful joys. A couple of immortal albums: Madvillainy, The Soft Bulletin in particular, but love the Flaming lips in general, Blonde on Blonde, Anything by Motorpsycho, but especially Panerothyme. Otherwise, the music I listen to tend to vary according to mood, and what I come across. Right now I've goit a soft spot for Stevie Wonder, The Smiths, the White Stripes, Tom Waits, old school hip-hop and all sorts of obscure funky music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

How people can face incredible hardship, and seemingly insurmountable obstacles with an undented will to live. And hospitality beyond belief.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I know a hell of a lot about coffee, and I've studied philosophy for a couple of years (this does NOT, unfortunately, mean that I in any way are any wiser than your average Joe or Jane, but rather that I tend to drift into abstract and strange arguments that does not seem to have anything to do whith the topic under discussion) And I know a pretty cool trick with matches.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Russian Federation, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Norway, Sweden
