ABOUT ME
This time I (Cathy) am on a solo trip. Curious and open-minded, I like to travel around the world, meet new people and taste local traditional food and beverages.
What I enjoy the most: sitting around a table sharing some tea, beer or wine or a homemade dinner, talking about anything, listening to music playing board games.
I'm learning photography.
We've been on the road for 3,5 months on a road trip across Canada and the USA (20 500 km long, from Montreal to Vancouver by NYC, Chicago, New Orleans, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Las Vegas, San Francisco, etc) and have just settled in Vancouver for a while. We've surfed a lot during our trip and now we would like to host CSers from all around the world. We opened in december 2011 a french bakery in the Mount Pleasant area, so we work a lot and can't host as much as we'd like to, but we'll try to whenever we can!
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe diem
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
With David we couchsurfed and hosted a few years ago then got too busy with work.
Now that I'm back on the road I hope to meet with fellow travellers and locals to explore and grab a coffee or a drink.
Interests
I've been a baker for 6 years, I enjoy baking and cooking and learning new recipes. I'm a slow-traveller, I like to just hang out somewhere, snap pictures and experience the local life more than rushing to see everything in the guidebook (which I don't even have)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leave everything behind us to build a new life in a country (a continent) we had never set a foot in before.
Almost hit a baby bear when driving in Yosemite NP.
Opened a small french bakery in Vancouver on december 2011.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to give some tips on baking and French cuisine.
We'd love to learn some words in some languages we don't know.
