ABOUT ME

Hm, ALL about me? How much space do I have? Okay, I am 46 years on this earth. During the last years I ate too much as you can see on my foto. I have an open mind and I am curious of live.

Since November 2008 I am in love and share my life and home with my boyfriend Carsten. He nearly always stays at my home, too. He simply is wonderful!!! :-) You will see.

Fun is soooo important. We are here to have fun, aren't we? And for laughing. Joking around is one of the most important parts of my being.

I am patiently with my cats and most times with people but I do not like liars. Honesty is very important for me.
I do not like people who pretend that they know everything! Because, in fact, this is my job! ;-)

Ah! There is something important to mention: My passport name is Karen El Afify but I sign my emails with Semira or Shana'O (definitely including the 'O!) instead of Karen because these are my spiritual names and all of my friends and mates use them. I use them since years now. More about this subject when we meet.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy what ever you do - if you cannot enjoy it, leave it!
There are always more possibilities than you can imagine! There is always the opportunity to get more than you see. If you are able to trust in life, it presents you wonders every time it gets a chance. If you are able to calm your brain down.

And one philosophy which seem to fit perfectly to CS:
You always get what you are.
You are the creator of every second of your life. This gives you a great responsibility but it also opens ways to create wonders behind your imagination.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, as you may have noticed yet: I signed in!
After a year of hosting people on my couch I can say, it is one of the best things I ever did. The people who dropped in were all fantastic and loveable. I would like to meet or host them again and again. Since my first experiences I keep on telling people about this wonderful way to bring the world into your home.

In order that we started to surf couches ourselves, my love and I had our first experience on a foreign couch. This opened a new way of sight to what CS may be. Finding help and wonderful persons all around the world, getting the idea of diffeerent styles of lifes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As you may conclude from the references I wrote, I had some great experiences with wonderful persons. I am curious about who will visit us next. And of course, I hope Iwe will meet loveable persons when we go on surfing couches.

Interessen

Hmm. Apart from the loves of my life, Carsten and my cats, I am living with angels, the white brotherhood/ascended masters and dwarfs and other natural beings. I am channeling, meditating - I live very spiritual. But I would never urge you to think or talk about this. Only if you are interested.
I like to stay with my friends.

I love enjoyable books and films. Go to pubs with live music. Or to theatre. I like rock, jazz, classical and folk music but not too loud. Talking to people is one of my favourites. Good eating and cooking another. Go out for a walk, sit in a café and watch people.
And I love travelling, of course!
Ugh, there are so many more things I enjoy.
Reading books (coincidentally most times more than two), watching movies, riding my bike or doing inline-skating... there is so much to enjoy!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

There are so many amazing things I did, saw and experienced - space will not be enough to write about everything.

E.g. once I went to Cappadocia in Turkiye and we had snow! Though it was said before that this would not happen and we only had clothes and shoes for the summer! but it was simply fantastic and we had lots of fun, 8 people that we were on that trip! And I will never forget the guid Cihangir who simply knew everything about the history of "every stone" on our way.
