ABOUT ME

I keep my way of thinking independent of public opinion.
I’m quiet, calm, patient, do not scream, nor despair.
I think clearly, speak intelligently and live simply.
I’m from the future, not the past.
I always have time.
I don’t despise any human being.
As I’m not looking for applauses, I never get offended.
I have more than I think I deserve.
I’m always willing to learn, even from children.
I live within my own spiritual isolation, where I don’t reach self-praise or self-censure.
Nevertheless, my isolation is not cold: I love, suffer, think and understand.
What you have: money or social position means nothing to me, as I only care about what you are.
I give up my own opinion as soon as I notice my mistake
I do not respect the lie, only the truth!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been hosting several guests for about 8 years in Brisbane, where I used to live, and surfed a few couches. Now I'm looking forward to surf many more during my round the world bike trip!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It is amazing! We can meet all sorts of people, all very lovely. We can learn and teach, share, give and recieve...

It's difficult to express in words what the CS experience really is! Each meeting with a new guest/host brings you a whole new experience.

Interests

Spiritual growth, Ashtanga Yoga, travelling, anything related to bicycles, music, festivals, sauna and bathing, beer wine and spirits, good food, experiencing different cultures, etc...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Scent of a Woman, Cast Away, Matrix, Brave Heart, Forrest Gump, Cheech and Chong (Up in Smoke), Amelie Poulan, Dracula (1992)

Books: Bible, Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, The Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali, The Dhammapada and many others enlighted books. I don't like novels (with a very few exceptions)

Music: All...I love it!!! But I have a particular preference for reggae/dub and classic rock

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled 2000 km by bike from Bahia to Sao Paulo (Brazil)

Travelled through the east cost of Australia (4000km) with only A$20,00 (I spend all the money I had on the bus ticket)

I've been to Boom Festival in Portugal, which is the most amazing alternative culture festival in the world!!! (www.boomfestival.org)

I have been around South-east Asia, where I could go to a fullmoon party in Koh Phangan, to phiphi Islands, do treks in golden triangle, ride Elephant, make a 2 day boat trip through Mekong river in Lao and also see the Angkor temples in Cambodia!

I've got married with the most amazing and beautiful woman I've ever seen!

And I've been doing some amazing other travels and adventures since then, including big hikes in Australia and NZ, going to nudist beaches and amazing music festivals, etc etc (Please ask me!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a PhD in engineering and have travelled and seen a lot, so I thing I have a fair bit knowledge, stories and experiences to share with you. But above all I'm here to share love!

I'm also open to learn EVERYTHING I possibly can and I believe that every single person in the world has something to teach you. That's why I'm here for!

And of course I can definitely share a warm cup of tea/coffee with you :)
