Overview
About Me
I left England late 2013 for adventure and to pursue a career in teaching (being an Art teacher in adult education was not a good job combination during the recession) but got distracted by humanitarian work in the Philippines along the way.
I am currently back in NZ and in the middle of planning of a big fund raising project to help a couple of charities. The plan is cycle the length of New Zealand (Cape Reinga to Bluff) whilst trying to complete various tasks as set by potential donors along the way.
I am laid back person who, despite being laid back, has somehow developed good time keeping skills. I don't take myself seriously and generally rubbish at writing about my self.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To find people who are willing to help, advise or even join me on my journey across the length and breath of New Zealand. As well to find out from people if they know of any community projects/groups in their local area that would benefit from my fund raising mission.
Also, just the chance meet new people and to see the nooks and crannies of a place that the guide books do not get to cover.
Interests
In no particular order: Cycling, photography, pub, parks, cooking, clouds, learning, parties, nature, music, traveling, drawing, forests, sun, books, free stuff, BBQs, films, guitar, news, mash, camping, walking, making things, festivals, tropical rain, random food. Generally, most things that bring a smile to my face.

Music, Movies, and Books
All of which are good, except for the bad ones, but then it is all subjective. Cop out answer I know, but I have some dubious musical tastes...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Helped build an adventure playground in an area in the Philippines that was effected by Typhoon Haiyan last year. What was meant to be two weeks of volunteering turned into 5 months of seeing the amazing side of humanity.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you want to learn anything about photography, Photoshop, drawing, teaching or even how to ride a ride a bicycle I am more than happy to share.
If you are planning to teach anything and need a test subject, I would be happy to help.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Any help that they need. Also, I am more than happy to cook.
