ABOUT ME

Well, let's see...

I am usually a little shy when meeting people for the first time, but that will fade pretty quickly. I do enjoy a good chat, and I love making people laugh.

I like to collect words and phrases that catch my eye, so all around my desk and in my pockets are little bits of paper that say things like; Time is a universal invarient, or The Vindicator of Youngstown, which I just found out was a newspaper in Ohio. Eventually, I will put them all in a folder or envelope for safe keeping, but I like finding them in odd places from time to time... they make me smile.

I love cheese, and baseball and coffee, and when I meet new people I will usually ask their opinion on these subjects. The answer is usually a pretty good indicator of how things will proceed. But I don't subsist on cheese and coffee alone! I love to cook lots of things, and while I am an avowed meat-eater one of the most delicous things I cooked recently was a rustic zucchini and tomato tart.

I also enjoy musing on life's great mysteries over a pint of beer at the pub, and finding beauty in an otherwise nondescript brick building.

I could go on... I'm also an accomplished rambler, but I think I will save something for later. ;)

I have had one Couch Surfing experience with Gen in Montreal, and can't speak highly enough of her or the project in general.
