Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Recover from my snowboarding injury and then go work abroad again
ABOUT ME
Im an outgoing, adventurous kind of guy. I love experiencing different cultures and Im always willing to try something new. Graduated this in 2009 with a Degree in Physical Geography and now trying to figure out what to do next. I have been travelling in South America in 2005 and 2008, and climbed some peaks in Peru on both of these trips. I have also been travelling in Europe and went to New Zealand in 2007 as part of my course at uni.
I would love to go and work abroad once I've cleared some debts and am probably the sort of person who will eventually emigrate and settle down in another country
PHILOSOPHY
Currently reading a book called 'The Power of Now' by a German guy called Ekhardt Toll. It's all about spiritual enlightenment and teaches you that the past and the future don't exist and how you should live in the 'now'. Living in the now helps a lot while climbing as its is important to have complete concentration on what you are doing at that second in time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couchsurfed once in Ecuador and also a couple of times in Bern. I hosted an Australian traveler when I was at university in Aberystwyth. Have not been in Switzerland very long, but hope to get involved with the Bern group and also the 'Swiss Mountain Lovers' group.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couch surfed in Ecuador and had a great experience. I think the best way to see a country is by staying with its people

Music: Electro2-stepfidgetjunglecore
Books: Glaciology text books, it was what I specialised for my geography degree. I saw Ueli Steck's book in a bookshop in the train station yesterday, might buy that to help improve my German (and climbing).

-Try, but failing, to climb the Wetterhorn in October 2010.
