About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to take things with humour

ABOUT ME

I'm from Finland and moved to Tenerife because my husband is from here. Now we have a little daughter. Before that I was living in Granada and Bilbao. I enjoy small, nice, surprising/expected things in life. Smiling and laughing can solve a lot of situations and serious attitude can ruin them....

PHILOSOPHY

I think at the end all there is, is one's attitude. There are very few occasions when it's a good idea to blaim others if something in one's life goes wrong.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't really surfed on other people's couches much and I often have a flat where I can't host, like now. I showed people around in Helsinki, Oulu and Bilbao and I've met a lot of wonderful cs-people.

Interests

Could be anything, depends. Music, arts, photographing, reading, seeing new places (now that we have a child I don't travel but I don't miss it either. Allthough it was great), meeting new people, dreaming...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music; lots, I enjoy meny kinds of music. The tallest man on earth, Vinny Miller, Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Faith No More, Kauko Royhka, Camarón de la Isla (and flamenco in general, music+dance), world music in general...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in the north of Argentina about 4 years ago in winter, hardly spoke spanish and on a bus in the middle of the mountains at night I realized the bus didn't stop even close to the village I was supposed to go. The last stop was a tiny village in the middle of nowhere, cold, dark and not many people around, with no idea of hotels, if they existed and at that time I didn't know of CS. But I found a place to sleep before freezing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Afghanistan, Argentina, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Montserrat, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
