About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Simplify.

ABOUT ME

I try not too take anything to seriously. I'm open minded, I like photography, skiing, bikes, and books. I enjoy good food, better beer, and even better wine. I'm quiet when I first meet people, but once you know me, you may not be able to get me to shut up. I have lots of opinions, but that's exactly what they are: mine. I realize that there are different views and interpretations of the world in which we live, and discovering and hearing about those from others is what life is all about.

PHILOSOPHY

Simplify, and live in the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only just joined, so I haven't participated at all, but I'm undergoing my first trip, and I hope to gain the skills required to open up my own couch to others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. Yet.

Interests

Books, bicycles, photography, film, skiing, rock climbing, scuba diving, camping and traveling. I hope to add sky diving to this list very soon.

Music, Movies, and Books

Thoreau is my new personal favorite, but I try and read as much as possible. Calvin and Hobbes will always be there when I'm looking for smiles, and a way to pass the time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is the one section that I wish I could fill to the point of overflowing, and that's part of what I hope to gain from my CS experiences. I need a little bit of time to think about this one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn the guitar and I'd love to teach anybody how to fold an origami crane. It's somewhat childish at first glance, but there is a kind of simple meditation to it. Origami, especially as the figures become smaller and thus harder to fold, demands mental attention, and if you can focus on something so simple, it can force you to reexamine your focus in other areas.
