About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently living in Albuquerque, NM and working in food service while slowly completing my licensure as a massage therapist. Other missions: I would love to do a bike tour somewhere again sooner than later, get back into climbing, mountain biking, canyoneering, backpacking and skiing. I would eventually like to find a balance of work in healing and body work, and in ecology, conservation, wilderness, education, and the promotion of sustainability. General life mission: To eat, drink, dance, sing, adventure and be merry with the good people beautiful places of the world.

ABOUT ME

I am a liberally minded person who enjoys outdoor adventures, delicious local and sustainable foods and drinks (when possible), a good book, art of all kinds, foreign languages (Portuguese and Spanish and hope to learn more), ecology and the environment, psychology, music and more. I look forward to my next travel adventure and forever exploring the wilderness and people of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Not sure I have one, when I do I'll let you know... Fun tends to be my leading motivator and decision maker when possible :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have surfed a handful of times abroad and in the US with great results, and hosted a few times when I lived in Durango, CO. I hope to both surf and host in the States when I can, and surf when traveling in other countries again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed a few times each in NZ, Bangkok, and Nicaragua, New Mexico, and Minnesota. Hope to do more!

Interests

Being in the wild outdoors. Other than that... foreign languages and linguistics, the natural world, riding my bike, bike touring, hot springs, drawing, composting, recycling, good food with good company, chocolate, world music and movies, free stuff! the smell of the seasons, christmas lights, hanging out in and near mountains, rocks, and bodies of water, good wine and tasty cocktails, hats, costumes, dancing, stars, space, and the supernatural, dreams, energy fields, philosophical and intellectually stimulating conversations, wild spontaneous adventures and other such fun.
