ABOUT ME

I am a full time student at Temple University in Philladelphia, Pa studying music education. I work part time at Rita's Italian ice as well as in a music library. I grew up in Dallas Pennsylvania, so the city is a lovely change for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am pretty new to CouchSurfing but I am a long time lover of the trade. I did a lot of that in high school for music programs around pennsylvania. The idea is fabulous and will hopefully eventually be the best known way of life. Who needs hotels when the world is filled with people who are waiting to meet you and share their life stories and couches.

Interests

I love music of every kind, playing piano and clarinet, books that apply to life, people watching, talking to strangers, teaching music and other related ways of life, learning new thoughts and acts, meeting govies from around the world, contra, salsa, and tango dancing, eating - that can be extremely fulfilling, painting though I'm terrible, collecting keys and buttons, organizing jam sessions, star/cloud gazing depending on the hour, visiting new places, LOST and GREYS ANATOMY ( even though I try hard to keep TV watching at a minimum it always sneaks in there), wake boarding - though it's been a while, and involving myself in conversations that last years.

I love all music, especially, Ella Fitzgerald, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, DMB, Beethoven, Aaron Copland, Aerosmith, Aretha Franklin, Artie Shaw, Bach, Bela Fleck, Bill Evans, Billie Holiday, Blood Sweat and Tears, Blues Traveler, Brahms, CCR, Dianna Krall, Louis Armstrong, Eric Whitacre, Fleetwood Mac, Stravinksy, Maynard Ferguson, Rachel Portman and Thomas Newman soundtracks, Thelonious Monk, Janis Joplin, Van Morrison, and Paul Simon.

Movies that include johnny depp and tom hanks, the illusionist, anchorman, love actually, contact, children of men, pride and prejudice, and all harry potter movies.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to play musical instruments, to find your way around, vist and shop in Philly, to write with a calligraphy pen, to whip up things that taste good, to make envelopes for fans of snail mail,

Lets share experiences, stories of life past tense or future.

I want to learn african dumming, ceramics, to ski, to scuba dive, different languages. Everything there is about exploring the world.
