About Me
Hey everybody, Casey here.
I've traveled quite a bit, but always with a firm end date. As of October, I will be pulling anchor and pushing off (rather lifting the kickstand and leaving the driveway) on a motorcycle trip from my home in Seattle to Patagonia, Lord willing.*
* Update: after finishing that motorcycle trip I'm back in Seattle and am happy to host or meet up with couchsurfers in my home town!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I much rather have an experience of a place that includes encounters with folks who aren't being paid to interact with me and prefer the feel of a home rather than fluorescent lights and continental breakfasts. That being said, I love pancakes.
Interests
I love sailing, fort-building, climbing mountains, honest conversations, literature, theology, and psychology (I'm a MDiv dropout).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While I was in Uganda I visited an Internal Displacement People camp (a native refugee camp). Because I did not want to offend my host, I drank too much local brew and followed that by too much soda over dinner. My host did not mention the particulars of the sleeping arrangement before I arrived.
I ended up spending that entire night awake listening to the bats, four-thirds drunk, over caffeinated, lying in bed next to a 6'4" Acholi man.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've been told I smile a lot?
Also, I'd love to cook with y'all. Just tell me what to bring.
