About Me

I'm a 34yo 6'8" roady/crewman (building sets for festivals, nightclubs, movies & theatre, sound, AV), who has decided to take a few weeks off to see Europe on a shoestring budget. I'm bit of a handyman, & landscape gardener.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've never had the chance to see Europe, as an Adult, and I'd really like to.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Don't mind Hollywood but I like the occasion left field/international film. I'm a sucker for documentaries, sci-fi and comedy.

Music: Rockabilly and Folk/Punk (Drop Kick Murphys, Pogues etc), Rock/Industrial, Blues, IDM etc. I'm open to listening to good music of any type tho. I've moved on to a much broader spectrum. Classical music has as much shelf space as The Sex Pistols or the Prodigy for me.

Food: I like to give quiche a chance, with my friends from The Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation Into Society.

Drink: If I've been working a lot, I get bizarre intense cravings for orange juice. Otherwise a quiet glass of rum now and then is OK. I mostly I function on water just fine, mostly.

Books: Well authored fiction or biographies with a good plot. I've been known to read some psychology and guitar type books too. My favorite authors of all time are Isaac Asimov & Raymond Feist.

TV: American Restoration, Plebs, Game of Thrones, Red Dwarf, etc. No ads please.

Art: Lowbrow & counter-culture. Pop art really depends on the piece. I love most art deco, hate most art nouveau. Betty Paige, not Betty Boop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a tough list to narrow down to one. I've set up gigs for some of the biggest celebrities in the world. Building Willow Sage Hart's crib (That would be P!nk's daughter) while she was on tour would be a high one.
