ABOUT ME

from my late teens until my mid-twenties i traveled quite a bit in mexico and canada. when my daughter was born i began to focus more of my time around my home base... work, home, dadship. now the time seems to be ripe for more exploring of the world with and without my daughter.

i have been a practitioner of healing most of my adult life and naturally gravitate toward any element of human touch or the human experience.

i love to be playful and enjoy the more amusing "takes" on what i may see in my day.

PHILOSOPHY

my personal philosophy is that life is a continuum of which we are all in relation to. this continuum has within it an inherent expansion/contraction. the degree to which i live my life in harmony with the varying e/c's of life the more in sync with nature i am, thereby releasing me from obstructive and inefficient life wounding patterns.

this is a mantra i flow in and out of living by.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

at this point i have primarily hosted, and enjoyed everyone who's traveled through. i feel this is an incredible community of people willing to spontaneously enter into connection with others. i look forward to future opportunities to be hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

my experience in cs'ing has mostly just been the stories my friends have shared with me of their own involvement.

my feeling is that i have to start somewhere... and this is where i am. so until i get to the next "somewhere" this is where i'll be :)

兴趣

my greatest interest is people and relationships between them. this both includes me and not. unless i am attempting to capture an image of a stunningly scenic photo i believe the best pictures and the experiences leading up to them include others.

additional interests are blending creativity, logic and intuition.

i enjoy movies that blend elements of artistic mystery... the fifth element, matrix, the dark crystal. i am generally forgiving of poor acting, production, etc., if the movie is well written.

music... soulful, refined, personal, transportive, danceable.

my life is a life of service, so i get to experience amazing much of the time. the willingness of another person's capacity to overcome pain, a life situation, or any other challenge is awe-inspiring. i have seen people heal right before me. go to the deepest depths of despair and loss and return renewed. and show how imperative to life the paradox between strength and vulnerability is. if i think of one specific amazing this that stands out above all others i will share it.

recline if you can when your bladder is full: it creates more space and less urgency:)

pain in your body is an indication of a need outside the will: this is the greatest teacher for staying present.

rub your "owwees" with the love and tenderness of a caring mother.

know that we are all on the same train: some are in the engine, some in the middle, and some in the caboose. we will all need help from another at some point no matter which car we are on.
