About Me

CURRENT MISSION

discover the world and myself in order to love the universe

ABOUT ME

I love travelling - like you - and meeting people from all over the world through couchsurfing. I also draw, wakeboard and dive.

"Life provides enough for everyone's need but not everyone's greed."

I believe resources are limited and rather than using all of one resource (time) to gather another resource (money), we can all live our lives more meaningfully with one another's help. I have hosted and surfed, and will like to continue doing so - especially hosting - once I've got my own place.

---

"I will not be just a tourist in the world of images, just watching images passing by which I cannot live in, make love to, possess as sources of permanent joy and ecstasy." - Anais Nin

PHILOSOPHY

"be the change you want to see in the world." -- mahatma gandhi

"Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier." -- mother theresa

"there are no evil people, just people waiting to be touched by benevolence." -- buddha

life is full of joy and people who don't know it. it's so easy to be tempted by wealth and caught up in the rat race that we forget there's so much more to life and people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interests

I like theatre, film, and sports, and I love nature! An art exhibition can keep me mentally occupied for a few days, a film can get me talking for hours. Sometimes I enjoy just sitting at cafes drawing objects.

And of course, travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

i like rock'n'roll, retro, ballads, baroque music. i love fantasy, a little of science fiction, and a lot of film and stage adaptations.

The Book Thief and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas reminds me of the reality that exists outside of the world that I live in. Griffin and Sabine remind me that there are so many perspectives on a single event, and we have to keep an open-mind, for we know not the difference between truth and reality, or perhaps they are merely constructs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. standing on top of Mt Fuji, watching the sun rise as a ball of fire
2. riding through the woods of Antwerp, walking the steps up the Tower and looking over the intersection of four canals
3. walking down Princes' Street in Edinburgh, crossing the road into New Town.
4. Feeling myself change over the course of 25 days in the Bay Area.

Teach, Learn, Share

子曰: 三人行,必有我师焉。择其善者而从之,其不善者而改之。

Confucius said, "there must be something I can learn from the people I walk with."

I can share my joy with you. I can also teach Math, Chinese (Mandarin), fake-sneezing (it's a hit among the 13 year-olds and below, I swear), tearing within 15 seconds, etc.

I would love to learn about you and your life story!
