About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Encourage critical reasoning and happiness through open discussion and debate.

ABOUT ME

I love learning. Current areas of interests are neuroscience, cognitive science, religion, ethics, sociology, and organizational studies.

I love dancing; it rocks my socks (kind of literally). I've done some Salsa teaching in the past so if you would like a lesson, I'd be happy to give one :)

And...I kind of don't like trying to finitely define myself...which is why I put what I love most in this section rather than stuff about personality. I'm a growin' boy..I don't know if I'll ever know all about me. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Some of my favorite all-time quotes to describe my thinking:

"The unexamined life is not worth living."

"I know nothing except the fact of my ignorance."
-Socrates

"When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it--always."

"You must be the change you want to see in the world."
- Mahatma Gandhi

"Humor is the great thing, the saving thing. The minute it crops up, all our irritations and resentments slip away and a sunny spirit takes their place."
-Mark Twain

"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing."
-Einstein

We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.
-T.S. Eliot

On the whole human beings want to be good, but not too good, and not quite all the time.
- George Orwell

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted and surfed. People regularly share our space, though not all of them are a part of the online surfer community :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first time I couch-surfed officially it was in NYC. GREAT EXPERIENCE! My wife and I stayed with a couple from Finland and a couple of local New yorkers (kinda). Some of the most interesting late night discussions of my life! It's so great to meet new people with interesting perspectives!
