About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to keep my dog from not wrecking everything...
ABOUT ME
I like going places, spending time with interesting people and living unique experiences. I'll enjoy just as much the challenge of hiking in the Himalayas as beach buming. My current work does not allow me to take off at anytime I want, so I try to make the most of every occasion I get. I traveled around a fair bit, both for business and pleasure, and have varied interests, which can hopefully make for an interesting conversation. Really, I just want to see more of the world, take some nice shots meet some cool folks. I'm adaptable to just about anything as long as the company is good. But if I have to go solo, that's fine too.
PHILOSOPHY
Learn and observe. Play nice with others. Be considerate. Make people laugh. Look both ways before jumping off the cliff.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just starting out. Have a couch which I'm more than willing to share, but this summer may not be the best time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I worked in Amsterdam for two months while squatting a friend's guest room by the beach in the Hague. Intense 2x 16 hour days where I would sleep on my boss' "famous blue couch" the few short hours we had. I loved the couch and the fact that I had 5 days off the rest of the week! :o)
Interests
Besides my love of traveling and photography, I try to participate in whatever sports/outdoor activities that come my way: regular water-polo, yoga and biking. Also hiking, rock-climbing, wind-surfing (trying to pick up the kite), snowboarding, volleyball, sailing, whatever really. Not a great cook, but can whip up some mean eggs and operate a BBQ

Music, Movies, and Books
I read books pretty much only when I travel, but I always liked Michael Chriton. Over the last few years, I absolutely loved the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Life of Pi and Sputnik Caledonia. I listen to anything NOT death metal or Backstreet Boys. As far as movies go, I lean towards sci-fi/action and stuff with a little edge: Matrix, Fight Club, Snatch, Tarentino's work, Ed Norton and a very special spot for The Abyss and The Big Blue.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The world is full of amazing. To be seen, photographed and lived. Right now though, my brain is a little mush... :oP I can tell you all about it over a brew or two.
