Overview
About Me
To be on the move is something my veins seem to request.
I'm fond of trees, yet I'd never be as sedentary. Taking care of some of them in a couple of places rules the cycles of my path.
So You'd hardly find me in a place without woods.
I cheerfully stepped away from the urban environments and searched out for more suitable realms.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet and host people who travel.
I have been lucky to meet great people through Couchsurfing and I would like to use this network to make friendships and have a good exchange.
Interests
I like trees! Even more when they bear fruits to process into oil, jam, juice, etc.
So I learn about fruit trees and what they need to grow vigorously.
My favourite language is Italiano, but Portuguese and Spanish is fine as well.
I can forget about myself easily in botanical gardens or when I grab a guitar or a map or books on geography or history.
Too much technology drives me crazy, but I adore old handicrafts.
Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC from Baden Powell de Aquino, João Gilberto, Nick Drake, Eduardo Mateo; Oscar Peterson, ...
BOOKS from Michael Köhlmeier, Friedrich Dürrenmatt, Eduardo Galeano, Franz Kafka, Jorge Luis Borges, Hermann Hesse, Jiddu Krishnamurti
MOVIES form Jacques Tati, Buster Keaton, Andrej Tarkovsky, Stanley Kubrick.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had some of my most valuable lessons during an internship as a gardener in Faridpur, India.
One day, for example, some children gathered around me and legitimately tried to tease me as they might have thought: "Look, this paleface is doin' shit work!"
I cheerfully said "Hi!" or "Namaste", but they made no reply and seemed to be immersed in the enjoyment of patronizing a barbarian.
So anyhow we were toegether and had fun.
