I love to travel and I move around the US and International a lot. So always looking to hook up with local people to learn about the area's I am in.

ABOUT ME

I got married at 18 and stilled married after 26yrs. Homeschooled 3 boys, always loved History,Archeology and traveling around the world has always been a great love.I spent the first 20yrs in America checking out all types of local history. Spent last four traveling Internationally. One thing I love to do is get in my convertible and just drive somewhere. Too bad gas is getting so high now!

PHILOSOPHY

Well I love Jesus, and believe in respecting where others are in their life with all that. Just believe being kind and being real........don't make more out of yourself than there is... I have found when I meet up with people in this world it helps me grow more. IT fills my life with so much better understanding of others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I am at home......I am open to let people come through. And even meet up and show them around if possible. Right now with my husband overseas. He is somewhat more concerned. So I will have to be a little more picky on who I let in. But still willing to meet up for coffee and tea for sure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am on another list that I have been on for close too 10yrs. And over the yrs we have met up with each other. I went in June to Minneapolis and stayed at a couples house that I finally got to meet after so long. I am trying to get to know my local Couchsurfers. So getting ready to take a road trip along the I-10 corrider of the gulf. So will be meeting up with some couchsurfers soon.

Interests

I love to drive my car, knitting, reading, skiing, swimming, bicycle, fishing, camping, going to museums and wine tasting and even thinking of learning to scuba dive soon when I get to Saudi.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love History of any kind. Archeology books. Murder,FBI, Romance,suspense. All over the place with Music. Lean mostly to Country. I grew up with Classic Country. And movies for me are "what I am in the mood for" at the time. Really a little of everything. But always up for a good laugh.

But here is a example of my latest favorites: Movie: Mamma Mia, Latest book: The Shack, Latest Music: Weezer Pork and Beans.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Live shortly in Northern Italy for six weeks, Went to Venezuela, Just loved Cairo,Egypt. My girlfriend and I traveled thru Laos, Thailand,Burma. Japan was interesting. My husband travels around the world. He has been to Nigeria,Algeria,England,Saudi Arabia,India, Vietnam for work. I have traveled with him as I can. He is in Saudi as I write. So to put one thing down is hard. Not counting all my travels in the US. But Probly when it is all said and done.........giving my kidney to Gentry had to be the most amazing thing I have done. I can't explain what it is like to be able to give life to someone that is dying. And to be a part of that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I just went through a Kidney Transplant with a young girl I know. So Learned a lot about myself in that. I have raised three young men and homeschooled them and really learned some hard/good lessons. We have homechurched as well for 26yrs. So have been outside of Organized Christianity for a long time.
