About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Sailing the seas of cheese...

ABOUT ME

Some say i'm quite the shy and introvert person, humble and maybe even friendly and polite but i also have an adventurous, curious, humorous and the occasional 'no holds barred' side to me. But don't just take my word, you be the judge!

I've lived and studied in different places around the world and in Belgium but somehow found my way back to my hometown near Antwerp again.

PHILOSOPHY

When you travel and see a new part of the world it makes you a different and maybe even a better person. TRAVEL = EDUCATION

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a few times so far and all of them were quite amazing experiences. The great thing about CS is that it's more than surfing & hosting alone, its meeting people with a similar state of mind. Guiding people around or giving small tips & hints. Doing things differently in a somewhat 'alternative' way if that still means anything these days. Not mainstream, not cliché or just superficial fun. Couchsurf activity has also opened my eyes not only abroad on travels but in places i thought i knew before, like being a tourist at home can also be fun. I'd say CS gatherings & meetings are very much recommended while books and guides are great but why not ask a local Couchsurfer instead.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Lived in Gabon, central Africa for a year when I was 8 years old.
-I've also lived in Dubai (UAE) for 4 years as a teenager.
-Once I've sailed/navigated a yacht/ship for a few hours, but I was 8.
-I've proposed about 15 times to the same girl while 'acting' in a short-film of a friend.
-Climbed the Pyrenees mountains and French Alps by bicycle.
