ABOUT ME

We are a couple who are excited about traveling around Europe this year. Anh works as a nurses aid, and I've been a Volunteering in Thailand for the past two years. We are looking forward to hiking, trekking and seeing as many aspects of the countries we are in as possible. Art is a passion of mine as well, both the study of its history and the creation of new art. I enjoy reading because it informs me of life outside myself. Through the years I have worked as a carpenter, paramedic, cook, food server, landscape worker, and various other things.

PHILOSOPHY

Participate fully in life now. This is the most direct way I can say it; that I feel the most important thing is to be, fully and honestly, ourselves. Whatever that looks like for each of us, simply be.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My home is always open. Wherever I am it is my desire to make those around me welcome and comfortable. Being someone who enjoys participating in peoples lives, surfing or hosting is a pleasure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The practice of sharing our home, and being welcomed into others has long been a habit of ours. In 2004 I was able to spend a good amount of time in eastern Europe and throughout the time there I was blessed with opportunity to stay with different local people. What began as staying with strangers always ended with staying with friends. This is a very unique experience and I am excited to have found more like minds.

Movies are more often something I like to inspire me or challenge me, philosophically, artistically, relationally, than just entertain me. Although, a good comedy is always wonderful.
