ABOUT ME

i am very small. i'm a louisiana girl. i love louisiana and i will keep it with me always. the food, the culture, the people.. that said, i'm starting fresh in philly this summer. i'm studying landscape architecture at penn. i'm super excited!

PHILOSOPHY

hrm. this is deep. and i'm sleepy. i believe in karma. and that there is some underlying meaning to all things...it's why flowers and fruit are all so geometrically perfect...why humans are symmetrical...why silence is comforting...why my boss' turkish coffee tastes just a little better than mine...why macaroons taste so good...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

well, let's see...i love meeting new people. i love travel, and i want to make it easy for people to see louisiana...or philadelphia or wherever i may happen to live. i suppose it's nice to stay in hostels...but there aren't many hostels in la, so that's how i got involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

charlie might be my favorite...he's visited three or four times--lost count. hrm, i suppose we should put up a picture of him. he's musical and he always has these great stories about his travels...and some things that he does/knows are just uncanny. he chooses the things that others don't even see. he rides this crazy motorcycle and he does amazing graphic design work. he has so much to teach, but he never stops learning.

well, if you can teach me, i'll probably want to hear it. but architecture, art, life, food, food, sewing, coffee, food, and food.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

well. one summer abroad in romania, i watched sunflowers grow. for two months i saw them sprout and grow and grow until one day, they had grown taller than me. the day i was leaving the country, i walked through them, and they were all so proudly standing, so vivid. i have no photographs but the image of those sunflowers is burned in my mind.
