CURRENT MISSION

As a newcomer to Germany I am hoping to meet people and learn more about the city and the country.

ABOUT ME

After spending three years in Germany we have returned to our home in Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA. Since we have returned both of us are retired and are splitting our time between Apple Valley and Clear Lake, where we have a small place on the Mississippi River.

I think my friends would say that I am out going and friendly.

Interests

I enjoy time with my family, my dog and friends. I am interested in politics and serve as an election judge in my community. I generally just enjoy life and all that it has to offer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was at the Xcel Center in St. Paul Minnesota when Barack Obama claimed to be the democratic nominee for President. It was an amazing experience that I hope to tell my grandchildren about. The more I thought about it I was hoping that when I talk about it with them they will be asking "what's the big deal." Have we come that far? I sure hope so.

I wrote the above 4 1/2 years ago and reading it makes me realize how little has changed, American is far more racist than I ever imagined.
