To host/meet as many people as we can through couch surfing, before we head back to Australia!

ABOUT ME

Dan and I are a couple. We are living in Quebec City, while Dan attends university Laval, untill the end of december.
We consider ourselves to be pretty easy going and people friendly. Our house is your house =]

Just so you know;
*Dan can speak French, he learn't/is learning through University.
*Monique can speak Portuguese, she learn't from having been brought up by Portuguese parents.

PHILOSOPHY

Monique: I am a bit of a dawdler when it comes to choosing a career path, I want to see whats out there before I tie myself down to studying and persuing one thing. I also believe that hands on experience beats the books anyday. I live my life because, I was put here for a reason and even though I don't know what it is.... I'm not giving up that easy.

Dan: Just get excited about life!!!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are 100% participating in CS'ing by having had recently couch surfed and also have our couch availiable for people to 'surf'.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Dan and I went on a road trip around parts of the US and Canada and thankfully found couches to surf in all the cities we stayed in...
The hosts are always kind and willing to help out with places to go and places not to go ha ha! It was awesome meeting people from all different walks of life and having many different chats and hearing peoples different perspectives on life.

If it sounds good and its easy to listen/sing along to then its good =]
Hardcore techno, is just a no go ha ha! Think you need to be tripping to listen to that stuff.

Monique: The Eagles, Celine Dion, The Beatles, ABBA, Maddona, Kylie Minogue, P!nk, ACDC, Kelly Clarkson, Michael Jackson. Oldies are goodies!!!
I also like Killswitch engage, Avenged sevenfold, Atreyu.... I told you, I like all sorts =]

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most of the places we have seen have been amazing... To name on each we'd have to say;

Dan: The Corn king @ Chicago's 'Taste of' fair.

Mon: I'd have to say that the most amazing/entriguing thing I have seen was glass blowing in Venice. A man with a metal pipe, his mouth, a hot oven and a piece of glass can make pretty much anything!!!!!
My experience on Kara, Keirans and Hayleys roof was awesome. From net access to great view of Manhattan, its the roof to beat all roofs...

Teach, Learn, Share

Stories about travel are always a good thing to share. Everyone has a diffrent opinion about a certain, place, person or thing so we're sure thats a learning experience in itself.
Sharing recipies is always great. Especially recipies from around the world. There should defnitely be a 'couch surfing wordly recipes' tab =].
