CURRENT MISSION

I'm trying to get back into playing music, while our boy of 17 has his own Rock band, I've more or less retired from performing although the house is still full of guitars, banjos, mandolins and lots of other instruments...

We mostly just working away until the kids are old enough to get out on their own. Then we'll probably find out what happens next.I travelled all my life throughout North America and since 1985 played my way around Europe on the streets, bars and Festivals. Since the last few years I've settled down here and got a wife, a straight job and even a bank account with plastic money. You never really know...

I'm not enchanted with most religious thinking or behaviour, but I'm OK with whatever people want to believe as long as they don't discuss it in front of me.

I'm a sort of musicologist specializing in American music from the 1900's till around the 70's when it all fell apart in my opinion. Blues, Jazz, Mountain music, you name it, if it's the real thing, you can hear it coming out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was crowned KING OF THE BUSKERS in Antwerp back in 88. More than 450 contestants and BANG! I won it.
