About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Classically discovering, experiencing and building new ways of spending one's life! We try with my companion to become autosufficient in food and energy, and try to be much less part of the financial current system.
ABOUT ME
I'm quite active, even too much sometimes, because I want to experience life as much as I can, and in many different aspects. I like sharing with people a wish to reach some goal, either in the effort, a way of living or anything. I'm really concerned about how the society is and evolves.
With my companion to be closer to our values we have left our jobs in 2012-2014 and have a spent a bit more than a year on our bicycles in France to learn farming, meet people, get good examples, and find where to continue our life in the respect of nature.
PHILOSOPHY
Goals: Trying to bother others as little as I can (including not spoiling the natural ressources of foreign countries and not giving them back our nuclear trash), solidarity, fairness, sharing hope (with good reasons, by doing something for it), independence, honesty, freedom, respect, efforts towards some kind of self-progress and sharing and developing energy with others
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We like traveling and meeting new people, and I wish to help people traveling too, in a not polluting way, and a way that doesn't change "in a bad way" (kind of colonization way) the people that we meet or the land where we go. Unfortunately, for now we can't really host, except with a tent and for some exceptions, because we live by someone, we are not "at home".
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted and been hosted by several people now. The Couch Surfing part of my trips were actually the most interesting ones, even though I wasn't totally expecting so! Now, I would almost travel only to meet people.
Interests
People, animals, vegetals, minerals... (ie at large scale: society and nature)
Alternative ways of living (in the country side or in cities, in everyday life or by the work...)
The mountain, the sea, the countryside...

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't often watch movies. But I like rather what I feel as being special movies and documentaries, anything that will teach me something...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Easy and very useful things to build (I'm really into all that but I've not started yet by myself):
- Washing machine that spin when we cycle
- African fridge: clever pot where sand stands outside with water
- Cleaning water from sand and vegetals
- Efficient burning type oven
- Compost with worms (avoid burning vegetals they are full of water)
(all with recycled elements)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can speak about astronomy I guess, teach math or physics maybe. Or about a bunch of projects that I have or would like to realize some days. Now I have discovered quite a lot of organizations and movements that try to make the society and life a bit better. I can talk a lot about that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
To people by whom I would stay, I can offer some help for the house or the garden, advise about ecological tricks to make economies and reduce our impact on the planet.
To people who would stay with us, I can offer an introduction to the life in countryside in a quite ecological and sustainable way, and meeting people who live in the same spirit.
