ABOUT ME

Joren: I am a very energetic person and keep myself very busy. I spend most of my time fencing, going to school and biking to where I need to be.

Caroline: I match Joren's energy levels but still get tired trying to keep up with him. I spend most of my time at school working towards an education degree.

PHILOSOPHY

Live your life to the fullest, and enjoy every day. People always find a way to make my day. Laugh lots and do not stress about the small stuff, things happen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We both enjoy meeting new people and it is always nice to help others out when they need a place to stay. We are back home after some time in Europe and are excited to have someone come stay in Saskatoon with us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had great experiences with our first CS'ers and hope to meet more people in the process. We have realized that you have better cultural interchanges when you stay at locals house's rather then in a hostel with people from elsewhere. CS is a great way to experience different perspectives and ways of living while abroad as well as meeting new and most often wonderful people.

Interests

Joren: I have been fencing for what seems my whole life, and it is a big part of who I am. I enjoy biking, board games, computer games, a good game of chess, reading/learning. I have been landscaping as a summer job for a few years, and have learned many new skills. I love to paint, draw and play guitar.

Caroline: I love to read, play board games (settlers of Catan RULES). I have made a few quilts and enjoy sewing, and being creative in general. Dancing and singing are always a ball of fun, even though I am not very great. Sports, MUSIC and just learning new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

We are both big music lovers, we will listen to a wide range of anything. All music deserves a chance to be heard. We love experimenting with stuff that is somewhat off the beaten path, thought provoking.
