About Me

My name is María Florencia, but only my mum calls me that way! I'm Flor, Florcita, Flo, Floppy and Pondita for my friends -even María for my siblings.
I live in Berisso, really near La Plata, in Buenos Aires province, Argentina. I've lived here my whole life. I was born in the very same house I live nowadays and I'm currently the only one living with my mum and dad -my brothers and sisters have all moved either with their families or on their own.
I work as an English teacher in two secondary schools, in a private institute and at home, where I teach my individual students.
I'm also a dancer. I dance jazz and contemporary, even salsa, what I love! I've been dancing in the same dancing school for years -since I was 18- and I do presentations on different theatres twice a year, an experience I recommend to anyone who likes expressing himself.
I have a big family! I'm the youngest of five children. I have three brothers and one sister. One nephiew, three nieces and one more on the way!! We all get together very frequently and on Sundays we are used to having lunch and spending the day until the evening. My aunts, uncles and cousins also come to these meetings! we love being all together and never get bored. Mate, cakes, facturas and good talking are a classic Sunday! Also a classic share with friends on any Saturday afternoon... in a park if the weather allows us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I love being in contact with foreigners, getting to know people from all over the world is just fascinating for me. I believe having the opportunity to get to know different cultures and languages, and tastes, ideas directly from their natives, is unvaluable.
I'm moving to Australia next year and I would like to meet people from the country and around; get info about the places from the ones living there and, of course, it would be great to visit the cities with them, enjoying the sightseeings and the "not-so-known seeings" of the spot.
I'm also interested in meeting people who can give me accomodation during my trips -I want Australia to be just the beginning of a long journey!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English and dancing :)
I'm interested in learning languages.
I want to share my experiences as a student, as a teacher, as a traveller and as a woman! LIFE is a big thing enough to be shared!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show my hosts around my city, La Plata, which is known as the "diagonals city". It is a young place, not only because of its age but also because of the people who live here, since it has many Universities and it's the target city chosen by many students from all over the country.
The Cathedral, Plaza Moreno square and the wood are just some of the beautiful places I can show them around. It's also full of bars and cafés where we can share from a coffee and croissant to a cold craft beer with a pizza.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, England, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
