Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to build a touring bike and get the eff out for a minute!
ABOUT ME
i'm 25 and married to my favorite person in the world. we have a little cat named anouk and a puppy called rosie. i've been living (mostly) in lincoln for over 10 years now, and we are currently working towards improving our activist and radical community here. we hope to put our city on the map as a traveler-friendly town with lots going on.
PHILOSOPHY
Do the very best with what you know now, and everything will turn out fine later.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i haven't hosted yet, but have stayed with a few folks on CS. i love it!
SURFERS: i do try to keep up around here, but sometimes it takes me a few days to find messages.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i had a wonderful time in asheville, NC, staying with this great girl, nicci. she put us up for several days, showed us around town, even though she had a nasty cold! i can't wait to host someone, so that we can pay that kindness forward.
Interests
i love to paint, draw, study herbalism, travel, hang out with animals, meet new people, cook delicious food and eat it, listen to records, garden, ride my bike, go to shows and hear great music, drink too much coffee, teach myself new things, and have long distance friendships with people all over the country.

Music, Movies, and Books
i like a lot of different music, some bands i listen to are crass, the moldy peaches, cat power, neko case, yes, hank williams, billie holiday, ani difranco, gogol bordello, and rasputina
mostly, i read nonfiction. my favorite topics are herbs and wildcrafting, food politics, and gender studies.
i like that movie "wristcutters: a love story", "princess mononoke" (really anything miyazaki does), and the original star wars trilogy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i saw carhenge once, which is a replica of stonehenge made completely out of old cars that is located in western nebraska among sandhills and ranch land. it is so great! some guy built it years ago for a family reunion, and it is maintained as something of a roadside attraction. interesting, impressive, and funny, too, i would recommend it!
Teach, Learn, Share
i know a fair bit about natural healing especially when it comes to women's health. i love to talk about that and share what i know, as well as learn more from other people. i am also a pretty decent cook, and i specialize in vegan and vegetarian cooking, and that's always a fun thing to share.
i'd like to learn to knit better (more than a rectangle, maybe?)
my partner has become something of a master fermenter. he makes delicious breads, krauts, kimchi, fermented pickles, and cheeses. he likes to share that skill with folks.
