Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn the fine art of globetrotting
ABOUT ME
I love anything to do with the out-of-doors, whether its hiking, camping, fishing (have yet to catch that elusive musky), or rock climbing.
I am also an aspiring globetrotter. I have had the opportunity to spend some time in Belize, Guatemala, and Japan and it made me crave traveling all the more!
I am pretty laid back, laugh easily, and I am always up for an adventure (local or international), whether its paintball, swinging on vines, skydiving, rock-climbing, or skating (the good ol' Canadian past-time).
I recently graduated from the University of Toronto with a master's in Civil Environmental Engineering. I'm on the job hunt and aspire to do work related to sustainable consulting and the environmental finance industry.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am very new to this, but have heard great things about CS2. Once I settle down and get my own place, I hope to be able to immerse myself in the culture and offer back to the community.
Interests
I enjoy being active, and especially participating in actities with good friends l(e.g., tennis, ultimate frizbee).
I would really like to get into photography, but right now I don't have the time to learn in in's and out's of an SLR.
I have a huge itch to travel the world and really want to go to Macchu Pichu, and volunteer in Costa Rica.

Music, Movies, and Books
The number of books that I have read in my life.... (the consequences of having once worked in a library)!
For pure enjoyment: any Dean Koontz, Clive Cussler, John Grisham; Harry Potter (guilty pleasure). I loved the life of Pi.
Magazines: National Geographic, Psychology Today, Scientific American or Science, The Economist.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Its hard to limit oneself, so I will have to give three experiences:
1: Hiking, canoeing, and camping in the Belizean rain forest (and having an whole parade of army ants raid our campsite).
3: Jumping out of a plane (taking that step was one of the biggest internal battles that I've yet had to do).
3: Walking in on a random lecture at UofT and getting to hold a human brain in my hands.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belize, Guatemala, Japan
Countries I’ve Lived In
Canada, Germany, Poland
