ABOUT ME

lifted this off my last job's 'staff profile':

Francisco Obando is foolish enough to believe he can make a difference in the world. He tries to ensure that his journey is marked with intentional acts of love that bring joy to those around him.

Francisco believes strongly that an effective social safety net that protects and nurtures vulnerable children and youth is a key contributing factor to the social and economic development of communities. He is passionate about partnering with communities to learn about their needs and to work collaboratively to address them.

Francisco joined UrbanPromise Honduras in March 2010. His passions are aligned with our vision. He has worked with non-profits that serve at-risk youth and children in the Philippines, Ecuador, and Canada. He received a BA (2007) and a MScPl (2009) from the University of Toronto.

I am passionate about addressing injustice with love, particularly in urban settings.
