Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience what life has to offer, and to offer myself in service to others along the way
ABOUT ME
I love life. I love adventure. I'm a down-to-earth realist who still strives for the ideals. I'm happy with almost any circumstances I'm in. I smile and laugh all the time. I love to give out genuine compliments. I love discussing other people's perspectives on life, and figuring out the reasons for them. I love exploring. I love teaching other people what I know, and learning what they know.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is to be experienced and enjoyed. Those experiences become the components of who we are as people, and we are then to share ourselves with others in the hopes of building them up as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I am looking to use CS for travelling, but once I am more settled in life I will use it to provide a place for others to stay in my own house.
Interests
I like the outdoors, and any sport done there. Kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, and backpacking are favorites. I also love science and philosophy, from particle physics and quantum mechanics to the question of what it means to exist. I'm really interested in history, especially non-United States history.

Music, Movies, and Books
I prefer epic, powerful movies, and comedies. I enjoy just about anything other than horror movies. I don't do much pleasure reading. I like just about any music with intelligible lyrics and a lack of swearing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I sat in a 15 foot boat in the middle of a pod of orca whales, and a 30 foot male swam 2 feet away from the stern of the boat. I could have jumped onto his back from the boat.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know quite a bit about road construction, civil and structural engineering, biology, and the human body. I have a knack for fixing many things around the house. I'd like to learn about history and sociology from a variety of cultures. I want to learn how to cook different foods. I want to learn about other people's experiences and how those have affected their lives. If you know something I don't, I want to learn it from you.
