About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Right now I would like / need to see as much of the world before my youth runs out, and to meet as many people as possible along the way.

ABOUT ME

A dirt road native from northern New England who moved down south (southern New England, that is!) to urban Connecticut for college three years ago. I study English and American Literature, but also love things Italian and France (the origin of my family before their various emigrations). I've WWOOFed on organic farms in Italy and the Western U.S.A. - there's nothing I enjoy more than meeting new people and surfing in untested waters. I've recently dabbled in cooking - I hope to learn new cuisines!

PHILOSOPHY

I depend on a certain spontaneity while I'm still young, which often brings pleasant and unexpected happiness. But my favorite environment has always been (and probably will always be) a quiet and peaceful one. I'll subscribe to anything that brings me into contact with so many interesting people from so many intriguing places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to meet others over this vast community, and hopefully give back something in return.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Luzern, Switzerland last summer, I stayed with three Swiss youths who worked at a wine cellar and kept me up until 5am with stories of William Tell and old vassals while the lake shimmered outside the window. My train left at 6am that morning, so I was granted a hefty one hour of sleep!

Interests

Literature, Film, Hiking, pondering the history of anywhere I've been and those who have passed through there, anything outdoorsy, organic farming, cooking, and (needless to say) traveling and bumping into interesting journeyers.
