About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be extraordinary.

ABOUT ME

I am a dancer, an explorer, a trespasser of abandoned buildings, and I am definitely not afraid to talk about biology at the dinner table. My alter ego is Gonzo the Great, and my favorite color is green. I get really excited about great food, and inexplicably get equally as excited about blue slushies. I think people are facinating.

PHILOSOPHY

Love God. Love people. Strive for peace and understanding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I grew up traveling all over the place with my family, hosting all kinds of people. My family has hosted a wide variety of people from the wife and children of a political refugee escaping Eastern Europe in the late 80's, to an abused woman and her daughter who needed somewhere to hide, to vacationing families, and a few perfectly normal people as well. No experience with couchsurfers as of yet.

Interests

good books, british humor, good cheese, stargazing, hiking, sleeping outside, hammocks, folk dance, making things by hand, bluegrass, cooking, and compulsively collecting scarves.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of biographies, bluegrass, and movies that are unusual and beautiful. (I also love the Muppets)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Headed to the mountains of southern Mexico during my gap year, to take clinics for the first time to many different mountain tribes. The experience of building trust and seeing it blossom was priceless.

Teach, Learn, Share

Things I like to teach people:
How to knit, because it's theraputic and easy.
That cooking isn't scary and making things from scratch is worth it.
Simple origami, because you'll never see an empty gum wrapper or an old receipt the same way again.
How to waltz and do folk dances, because dance is being happy with your whole body.

I want to learn:
Spanish
New kinds of dance
New songs
Almost anything else you can teach me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
