O mnie

CURRENT MISSION

To get out and see some more of the world, to meet new people, to try new things, no one can take your good memories away from you... (well Alzheimers Disease might, but lets be positive!) :o)

ABOUT ME

First of all, not sure why it says i have replied to 0% requests... I haven't been getting on as much lately, but had a good reply % so not sure why it got reset???

I'm relatively easy going, try not to sweat the small stuff too much, but somethings can get me passionate... Have a reasonably good sense of humour, approach to life and collection of friends, but looking to meet new people and experience new things... Like to chat and get to know people, and a pretty good listener...

Its so far from Oz to other places around the world, that when i do get to travel i love to dive in and go heall for leather touring the whole time and then recover when i get back, soaking up the history and sights and sounds of the places i visit.

I completed a 6 week tour of Europe, something like 14 cities in 9 countries, in November/December '08 - London, Amsterdam, Cologne, Munich, Geneva, Zurich, Vienna, Salzburg, Budapest, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Porto and Barcelona.

Completed a trip Perth - Bali - Kuala Lumpur - Hong Kong - Bangkok - Ho Chi Minh City - Singapore - Perth in May '09.

Completed another 6 week whirlwind tour of Europe in May/June '10 - Athens, Cairo, Jerusalem, Istanbul, Madrid, Marrakesh, Paris, Dublin, Edinburgh, London.

This still leaves South America and Canada which i would like to do maybe in 2011??? Nice to dream about it anyway... :o)

2.5 month RTW trip in 2011 through South America (Buenos Aries, La Paz, Cusco/Machu Picchu, Lima, Iguassu Falls, Rio), the US/Canada (Virginia, Washington DC, NYC, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Chicago), Europe (Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Berlin, Rome, Naples) and Africa (Joburg, Victoria Falls, Chobe Park, Cape Town)

2012 - Headed back to the U.S. and Europe - Miami, Cancun, New Orleans, Denver, Norfolk, Sarajevo, Dubrovnik, Split, Prague, Bratislava and Krakow.

2013 - Heading to Europe the US and maybe Asia as well - Helsinki, St Petersburg, Moscow, Munich, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Seoul, Tokyo and Osaka.

2013 - Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, cruise to The Bahamas, Seattle, San Francisco, NYC.

2014 - Jakarta, Istanbul, Santorini, Athens, Cinqua Terre, Monaco, Paris, Malaga, Madrid, Dubai.

What I love about CS is the more people i can meet and talk to about their experiences the better prepared i can be for my own travels, while also helping people enjoying visiting Perth and returning the favours i have received from hosts.

PHILOSOPHY

There isn't any second chances, so do it while you can...

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I benefit from the hospitality of others while touring, and look to return it and to catch up with local CS'er as that's what makes the system work.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had quite a few experiences with CSers in Europe and Asia, certainly beats staying in a hotel room or arriving in a city knowing no one!!!

Zainteresowania

Like going to the beach and going out and doing things with friends, whether that's movies, clubbing, dancing, just talking... I like travelling and being able to look back on great experiences and compare stories with people.. Like sports of most descriptions and into history, so like going to places that have some notable things about them in the past.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Like most sorts of music, dance, trance, rock, pop, anything that sounds good and has a bit of a beat to it, but some old 80's and 90's tunes as well... favourite song at the moment is Tiny Dancer (deadmau5 mix) as it was pumping up in Bali... like a range of movies, maybe not so much the chick flicks.. :o) and yeah like reading substantial books about history or autobiographies or interesting topics...

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon was a great experience.. those buffets seemed to never end... Washington DC was good with all those monuments and history... Paris was good as well as are some of the cities in Australia i've visited... Often people you know in places you go can make it even more special.

Ucz innych, ucz się sam, udostępniaj

There's usually always something you can share with or learn from other people, especially those outside your own culture and exposed to different circumstances and backgrounds than yourself.
