About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Your life is yours to create..."

Couch surfers listen - I have been receiving far more requests than I can accommodate and most have been users just spamming everyone in LA for a free couch... If you want to stay with me you are more than welcome! Just please include my name and a link to your favorite song on YouTube or somewhere else online so I know you are not a spammer and actually think I am the right person you should stay with. I have received much generosity over the years in my gypsy esque travels and love giving back to other people from different cultures, but just want to be able to separate who is using this site properly and with integrity. That being said, if you include this info and I'm in town *I have to travel a lot for work...* I will hopefully write you back, offer you a place to stay, an probably extend the royal treatment - would love to share my extensive knowledge of my hometown with you. But if you don't include this info in your message I will probably never write you back and may report you as a spammer. Full disclosure here now so no one gets upset later! That being said, please write me! Just do it respectfully :)

ABOUT ME

I'm Steve, I was born and raised in Los Angeles where I still live (I'm one of the few non-transplants). I take every opportunity possible to get out of the city though. I've spent much time in my life living in Europe though. I used to live in Tallinn, Estonia and still find myself bouncing around Scandinavia and the USA regularly. I miss my European friends, so hopefully I can meet more on here to fill the void :D. *all races/cultures welcome though! :) :)

I am a filmmaker and play music. I work on everything from documentaries to music videos to narrative films and pretty much anything else you can imagine. I used to work at Warner Bros but now focus on independent productions and social justice documentaries mainly. I play guitar and a bunch of other instruments *some better than others! and played in a few different bands over the years (if you want to hear any of my music let me know!). I drive a Silver Prius. I surf. My favorite author is JD Salinger. I wanted to be a Marine Biologist and study sharks my entire childhood. I'm terrible at math. I love Indian Food. I have a japanese beta fighting fish named Nebuchadnezzar *he passed away recently though. I blow too much money going to concerts and recording. My favorite Simpsons character ironically is Mr. Burns. And one day I want to learn how to play the cello.

PHILOSOPHY

Remember the past, prepare for the future, live in the moment.
