About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a liberal, sensitive guy with a lot fo energy for love, life and living! I've been working as a translator for nearly a year to pay off some debts in between acting in plays and stuff. I'm really down-to-earth, quirky, dippy and a bit zany!
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not one for clichés...after all, to coin a certain chat-show queen, "normal is only a cycle on a washing machine". Just love, live and imbibe like it will be your last!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've got sod-all experience but I'm hoping to make great experiences in the US - and, when I have my own pad, host people!
Interests
I'm passionate about languages and travelling; I read loads of trash in French and German and am working on my Italian (I've got an Italian Mama); I love acting and performing - so theatre, film and performance is another passion. Other than that, good friends, family, charity (I used to be a special needs teacher) and going to the gym (I'm getting man-boobs) :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Love anything by Tommy Jaud - a German boyish version of Bridget Jones who wrote 3 novels about being a dysfunctional twenty-something male. Nothing like me. A bit of Kafka, Grass, Schlink (The Reader), just read Alice Sebold's three books "Almost Moon" (depressing); "Lovely Bones" (more depressing) and "Lucky" (simply traumatic). Going to start reading "Le scaphandre et le papillon" about a publishing guy who had a stroke and subsequently communicated his life story through a series of blinks. I love all films - Golden Oldies, Oscar Winning gems, like Sunset Boulevard, Country Girl, Hud, Due cesire, All About Eve, Room at the Top, Annie Hall, Network, On Golden Pond and Spiceworld. Love them all! Love lots of music, barring heavy-rocky-eat-me-beat-me-tit-wank and chavvy Garage-thumping mess. Love a bit of Massive Attack, Coldplay, Amy Winegum, Madeline Peyroux, Marlena Shaw, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, ABBA etc. Rock on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going to Interlaken in Switzerland was breath-taking - really text book beautiful Switzerland and near to where they filmed the Bond film "On her Majesty's Secret Service". I think that being a Special Needs Teacher probably tops that, as it taught me loads about people and living.
Teach, Learn, Share
Confidence, social interaction, and languages are what I would teach. I feel that I need to learn loads from experienced, open-minded people who have seen and done what I haven't (too much to mention). I would love to share filthy jokes and great nights out.
