ABOUT ME
Hi! We're the Harvest House, a 15-person co-op comprised of a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students and local community members.
We have a few international residents living here along with some who have studied/are studying various languages at the undergraduate and graduate levels so those not fluent in English are more than welcome!
Every day two rotating housemates cook a full vegetarian (and vegan friendly) meal that we all get to stuff our faces with. Although a few of our members eat meat outside our house, there is no meat allowed inside. Guests are encouraged to help cook meals in exchange for all the delicious, nutritious, splendicious food they'll likely be enjoying during their stay.
Harvest is a diverse, inclusive community and we are especially sensitive to providing a safe and friendly environment for all sexes, sexualities, gender identities, religions, creeds, races, ethnicities, and cultures.
Interests
Horizontal power sharing, consensus decision making, environmental sustainability, vegetarian/veganism, local and organic food, and bicycling to name a few.

Teach, Learn, Share
Many of our members study a variety of complex and interesting subjects but one thing we can all can share is our learned experiences living in an intentional community. We manage our own finances, consensus meetings, collective labour, as well as maintenance on a 103 year old home.
