Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sorry, I have no couch to offer for now. But I can meet for a drink--I'm still fresh here in this city, so likely you'll be showing me around!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about CouchSurfing, but finally a friend of mine joined and I joined en suite. I hosted once and met some CouchSurfers here and there, all proving that this network is great.

Interests

Primarily doing and eating new things. But I also like old old objects, preservation, dancing, yoga, cooking.

Music, Movies, and Books

These days I listen to Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam and Hamza El-Din. And books, books. I am currently obsessed with Hassan Fathy and love his Architecture for the Poor. Some old favorites though are Annie John by Jamaica Kincaid; Malcom X's biography; Sacred Landscapes by Meron Benvenisti; Wangari Maathai's Unbowed: A Memoir; and The Death of al-Hallaj. As for movies, Twelve Angry Men, Everafter, and Amadeus are some my favorites.
