About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to enjoy my time here. I figure that you are only alive for so long and I might as well try to experience as much as I can while I'm here.

ABOUT ME

I am a recent Communication graduate from La Salle University in Philadelphia. I enjoy the Philadelphia scene a lot. I don't have that much to say except that I'm interested in art and culture and this is how I came to be a member of this project.

PHILOSOPHY

No matter how over used my personal philosophy is seize the day. I really do feel like there is so much out there to experience and while I'm here I'm going to try to experience and enjoy it all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well since I jus recent joined in on this project I haven't really had the opportunity to participate. However, I want to learn about other cultures and ways of life and I want to help people do the same with mine. I hope to accomplish this while having a really good time with the people I meet along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only CS experience I've had so far is with my friend Jeff. We met up with one of his CS friends last night and had a great time. Tonight will be my second CS experience. Jeff and I are meeting up with a bunch of CSers at this karaoke bar in Chinatown. I'll let everybody know how it is even though I'm pretty sure it's going to be a great time. There is no better way to get to know somebody then to hear them sing their heart out... most likely to a classic cheesy 80s song

Interests

My true interests are pretty much anything you could call art. I'm obsessive when it comes to music. I collect records and am constantly listening to whatever I can get my hands on. I also enjoy playing the drums. Other than that I enjoy films especially indie and foreign films. I'm also interested in food. I find the art of a new and different meal is typically overlooked even though it has brought people together on many occasions.

My favorite bands include Jane's Addiction, Incubus, Phish, State Radio, Dispatch, Fleet Foxes, Phoenix, French Kicks, Artic Monkeys, The Black Keys, MGMT, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Broken Social Scene, Cold War Kids, Death Cab for Cutie, The Decemberists, Foals, The Get Up Kids, Ozma, Guster, Joy Division, Radiohead, Jurassic 5, Kings of Leon, Mates of State, Pixies, Silversun Pickups, The Shins, The Stills, Tokyo Police Club and Vampire Weekend. I enjoy the works of the Beat Generation. Kerouac, Burroughs, Ginsberg and many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I go on adventure trips throughout the US. I have been dogsledding on glaciers in ALaska. I have white water rafted through the Grand Canyon for a week then hiked ten miles out. I have skied the back country all over Colorado and California. I have also cruised through the Canyonlands in Utah. The one thing they all have in common that amazes me is the beauty of the outdoors. This part of the country is the essence of nature and freedom. Out there no one controls you and you don't have to be anywhere. It is a place where you can truly feel what it means to be an animal running through your veins.
