About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Travell around the world before it will not possible any more.
Biggest dream/wish would be to acomplish a World tour once in my life..

ABOUT ME
Travelling has been part of my life for so long that it almost became a lifestyle.. As I can not stop itchy feet asking for some more places to visit, I just follow the flow and can therefore consider myself very very lucky of all the great things I've seen.
More recently: travelled this year to Cuba and Myanmar and already looking for the next place where to go..

PHILOSOPHY

"Carpe Diem"

Travelling and meeting new people has been an amazing way to help me grow up as a person but also in my ideas and I hope it makes me be a better person in my day to day life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few years ago I spent a months travelling around Québec province in Canada with a friend, an amazing experence.. really! I fell complitely in love with couchsurfin concept! It's just brilliant!
I met some great and generous people:
Trois-Rivières: Mylène's home
La Baie: Dominic's home
La Malbaie: Andrée-Anne's home
Québec city: JP's home
Amqui: Michel's home
Carleton: Kupfsteiner's home
Saint-Alexandre de Kamouraska : Jacques's home (Dominic's dad)
(References are on Margarita Candil's account, we used this page at that time)

....Looking forward to experiencing more of that....

Interests

I have stong interests in photogrphy, that's why I decided to work in this field at first, but honestly my real passion is with no possible doupt, travelling. It seems that my heart never gets tired of visiting new places, meeting new people, learning every time new things and keep on re-discovering yourself all the time.

I wish anyone could experience thoses feelings once by travelling solo, best way to look into your deep Inside.

I do love being in the mountains, go hiking as soon as possible and ski during the winter.

After a long day of work I do run to help me evacuate tensions of the day.. Strangely it's a moment where my brain is absolutely empty and concentrates only on the breathing and nothing else, it's very relaxing.

I do enjoy cooking a lot but have to admit that it's always more pleasant to cook for more people than just for myself!

Music, Movies, and Books

favorite movie: The God Father, Finding Bobby Fisher, Big Fish, Pulp Fiction, The Circle of the Lost Poets, etc.. I do enjoy movies that will make me somehow "travel" somewhere in my mind.
favorite book: On the Road, The Shadow of the wind, Brave New World..
favorite music: Sixto Rodriguez, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Nina Simone, Cat Power, Santana, Abba, Dire Straits, REM..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

All the great people I've had the chance to meet around my trips is sincerly one of the most amazing experiences I've had. I learned a lot from those people and I am looking froward to learn even more from the ones who are still to be known.

- I recently saw the most beautiful and amazing sunrises of my life in Myanmar.. Those moments makes you feel like the luckiest person on earth juste by observing.
- Last year I walked the first 300km of the french route of The Camino in Spain. Looking forward to complete the remaining 500.
- Walked early morning on 9Miles Beach northern New Zealand.. reflexion of the sky over the shallow water gave me the impression of walking in the clouds
- Hiked up to 5900m in Bolivia on a glacier
- Went scuba diving in Eastern Island
- Worked in mountain hutts in the Alpes

Teach, Learn, Share

It's always a pleasure to discuss about travel experiences or life experiences, a way for everyone to share and learn something from the others.

I would be happy to help in anything if my own experiences can help someone else in a way or another. I, personally think that the best way to learn is from someone else and by being interested of course.
