About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to do that.

ABOUT ME

Well in reality I am a thin strip of parchment paper skin draped across a skeleton. I am a xylophone rib cage whose main purpose, countless science classes have assured me, is to protect that lumpy organ poets have pined over for countless centuries. The heart. Fat load of good that protection has done me over the years; I guess that bony body armour won't give me much protection if I keep wearing this thing on my sleeve. I am long legs that dance off-beat to society's terrible tune. I am a brain who holds it's demons in high regard. I am me, whatever that means.

... In other words: I am that robot from 4,000 years ago who taught the Egyptians how to build the pyramids using only some limestone and the perkier sides of slavery.

Oh, also... I am: a graphic designer, a blooming word artist and slightly tall.

P.S. : I come from small(ish) town near Los Angeles. It's where Bill and Ted had an excellent adventure (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096928/). If that doesn't ring a bell, then the Ataris also did us a favor by writing a song called, "San Dimas High School Football Rules" (which is a lie, they were awful).

PHILOSOPHY

I'm interested in the moments from point a to point b (life to death, across the street, across a continent). If all we are is a what we've done and what we have experienced than I'd like to cram as much in as possible during this wild ride called life, love, stress and setbacks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by constantly sending the Admins at CS my resume so I can start helping them with the awful layout and design of this wonderful website.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

If it wasn't for CouchSurfing I would up for the title of loneliest man near Leeds... a very coveted honour.

I also had the honour of surfing some couches in Espana, maybe your couch is next?

Interests

I'm interested in what you're interested in. Not that I'm interested in the same things you find interesting, just that I find what you're interested in, interesting. Interested?

I also enjoy: Hookah, rock climbing, hiking, nature, pubs, good drinks, new places, new experiences, watching movies, reading a good book, concerts of any sort, drawing, painting, photoshop, illustrator, the occasional trip down memory lane (emphasis on trip). I'm a person prone to many enjoyments and interests.

Music, Movies, and Books

Authors: Charles Bukowski, Hunter S. Thompson, Dean Koontz, Stephen Hawking, Phillip K. Dick, The prophet Muhammad, The disciple's of Jesus, Guru Gohbind Singh, more to come when I think of them.

Music: Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Pink Floyd, Sage Francis, Buddy Wakefield, KRS-1, Eyedea, Bright Eyes, Coldplay, Sublime, Radiohead, The Eagles, David Bowie, Handsome Boy Modeling School, DJ Z-Trip, Moby, The Police, Brother Ali, The Postal Service, Pepper, the list is endless really. I love music.

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Waking Life, Lucky Number Sleven, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Big Lebowski, Garden State, The Confederate States of America, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill 1 + 2, anything that gets that thing between your ears working really.

... And since there's no place for the quotes I love, I'll place them here:

Only the deepest of thoughts from my man, Jack Handey.

"I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex."

"I hope some animal never bores a hole in my head and lays its eggs in my brain, because later you might think you're having a good idea but it's just eggs hatching."

And the most drug-induced by my good friend, Mitch Hedberg.

"An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You should never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience. "

"I used to do drugs. I still do drugs. But I used to, too. "

"If carrots got you drunk, rabbits would be messed-up. "

And my personal favourite....

"I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

People. I havn't really done amazing people I suppose... I mean, I have but....... awkward........ anyways...... I've seen plenty of fancy buildings, and beautiful landmarks but I have to say people are the most amazing things I've seen. From the relaxing atmosphere of a bunch of dudes hanging out on California beaches to the poverty stricken shoe-shiner who is still happy despite his economic status because he sees the simple things in life as blessings. People are wonderful, and I must meet more of them.

Teach, Learn, Share

My life is an open-diary that no one up to this point has been interested in reading.

Do you care to get deep about the shallow pool which is me?
