About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel, to learn as much as I can, and to create beautiful friendships and lovely things.
ABOUT ME
I love riding my bicycle everywhere, swimming whenever and wherever I possibly can, and enjoying the urban space that I am currently a part of. I love books and have accumulated far too many of them over the years.I am still trying to decide how to balance thinking and talking about things (the academic world) and actually physically making a difference in the world (activism) and whether those two can function together somehow. I also love cooking, buying vegetables at the market, and sharing food (and wine!) with other people. I make art and can never focus on single projects, currently things are being made out of paper and images are being threaded together.
PHILOSOPHY
I think this changes everyday, but I suppose it's to at least attempt to have some kind of impact on the world and the people around you, to make some kind of imprint and some kind of positive change. Or possibly it is to put more positive energy out into the world then negative energy, whatever that means to people. I think our experiences with one another are important, no matter how transient or short, and people should not be discarded.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I tell people about CS and participate in as many ways as I can. The only way we can build community is to trust the 'strangers' around us and open up our homes to one another.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Lots of lovely couch surfers have stayed with me and they have all been wonderful people in their own special ways. I have had some amazing wwoofing experiences and realize that sometimes the best way to get to know someone is to live with them for a little while.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching glowing algae in the north sea.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to cook all kinds of vegetarian food and bake lots of delicious things. I know a lot about literature and cultural/media theory. I know how to make a website and use other fancy computer applications (although not too well at times). I know how to speak Russian and read it and would be willing to teach someone.
I would like to learn other languages and also learn how to fix and take care of my bicycle. Learning about new foods would be wonderful as well.
