ABOUT ME

We are two ordinary Aussies trying to live radical and sustainable lives in a world gone crazy! Generally spend most of our time procrastinating, dreaming, playing music, reading books, gardening, googling strange topics and playing yet more music. We just returned from our most recent big adventure - 3 months in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Morocco, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Germany - so we have a few stories to tell too...We also founded and manage a non-profit community venue called The Commons - a people's library, cafe and arts space. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Too many to describe, but we must say this: Eastern European countries are the hippest and nuttiest places around, and our many couchsurfing hosts were just as amazing and hospitable and strange!

Interests

Interested in environmental sustainability, social justice, cider, occasional late nights! Preferably with red wine...music, muzak (as in the elevator variety), gardening, chickens, stories, awkward silences, making music, craft, herb gardens.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Tim is a latin/jazz/funk drummer, and Caitlin plays keys & sings in our band Crazy Old Maurice. We love lots of different types of music, and love seeing live music.
Books - Terry Pratchett, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones basically fantasy and sci fi, loving Stephen King's Dark Tower series right now!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Couchsurfing/farmsitting up in the Bulgarian mountains, looking after the animals and drinking in the peace and eerie solitude - unforgettable.

Teach, Learn, Share

Tim can teach you drums, percussion etc. Caitlin can give you some beginner piano lessons! We can both share our knowledge of recipes, knitting, craft, music-making, gardening, etc. We can tell good stories, and some really awful ones too.
We are always keen to learn more about sustainable living, gardening etc.
