We love to ski, go down rivers in ALL kinds of boats and backpack.

Also have always had great experiences meeting others on our travels--CSers are the best bunch around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed few times now. We got lucky on our first surf and went to an invasion in Minneapolis. What a great time---pub crawls, canoeing on lakes in the middle of the city, mud wrestling....

Movies-Lately have enjoyed Ingmar Bergman and Jim Jarmusch.

Music-Truly like almost all music, but especially like Doc Watson, Led Zeppelin, Taj Mahal.

Books-It is difficult to list particulars, but some favorite authors are American. Steinbeck, Hemingway, Faulkner. Also Roald Dahl, Virginia Woolf and most recently Patrick McManus.

We are trying to learn many things. We know how to raise chickens, garden, ski, snowboard, canoe, raft, kayak, river guide, water rescue, first aid, many skills in the outdoors such as leave no trace ethics, how to build a fire(see I am an American author fan), navigating in the wilderness, fishing, hunting, cooking, baking..
