ABOUT ME

I'm 21, and I love physical activity. I've been running since I was 6. I also like hiking, cycling, swimming, etc. I love meeting new people, being young and crazy, foreign films, cooking, hiking, camping, and reading. I also love to travel, and road trips are the closest to nirvana I think I've ever been.

After college, I hope to pursue a career in Public Policy. Currently, I tutor children who live in public housing. I see on a daily basis the effect that unequal school systems have on the average American child, and I would like to make a positive difference to the situation.

I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and moved down to Missouri for college. One of my ultimate life goals is to do humanitarian work somewhere in Africa for at least a year.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the reality that the number one reason we were all put here on this earth is to help one another. I think one of the most meaningful things that we can do in this life is have a positive impact, somehow, on those around us and the world at large.

Going after my goals in life: to live a life of public service; to travel; to get out of my comfort zone and experience people, moments and place that I otherwise would not; to stay true to what I feel is right for my life; and the list goes on...
