ABOUT ME

I'm a not-too-old grown-up with adult daughters, married for decades to a great guy. I have the good fortune to live in a beautiful area that is a vacation destination, especially in the summer. I am as happy working in my garden as I am going for a hike, a bike ride, or a swim in the river. Good friends are essential and I am lucky to have many.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm fortunate to have some space to share and a nice husband who goes along with my interest in meeting/hosting travelers. Perhaps someday I will have a chance to be the surfer but right now I am content to have surfers from all over bring their travels and stories to me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted some of the nicest people I would otherwise never have met if not for Couch Surfing. One surfer couple left us the coolest shrinky dink magnet of a couch on a wave. One resourceful mom found an interesting quiet spot in our house for her baby to sleep which I would never thought of.

Family, books, cooking, hiking, skiing, not too difficult bike rides, gathering and preserving fruits and vegies, hanging out with my friends.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

At this age I have done/seen many so many amazing things. A current favorite: A couple of weeks ago, after picking strawberries in the shadow of Mt Hood, I saw a mama bear and her two cubs run across a road. The next morning two deer walked through my backyard!
