About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently plotting my next penniless travels...do you think one could pedalo between India and Mozambique?

ABOUT ME

I find it hard to write descriptions of myself in little white boxes. I am currently experiencing that summer between graduating and getting a job and I want to travel as much a possible before settling into the employment routine!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have only just joined after a stint of moving house on a weekly basis. Looking forward to October when I have a place of my very own to offer surfing galore!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met up with a Dutch guy for drinks through a couch surfing friend of mine, twas a grand evening all round. I have also saved a lost French surfer from the Manchester rain and made him sushi. I think it's going to be a fun year!

Interests

This week I have been mostly riding my bike, reading Verne's 'Around the world in eighty days', jiggling to hill billy blues, speaking Spanish with unsuspecting tourists, listening to Chuck Berry records, writing a travel article in the hopes of winning a holiday from the Guardian, re-paving local footpaths and dancing in the silliest possible fashion to 70's Japanese rock bands.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most played CD this week was Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left. Just read the Lonely Planet guide to India, very excited about my trip out there to visit my brother. Last night I watched the BBC adaption of Alice in Wonderland, never again will I make that mistake.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It has to be swimming with wild dolphins in Pipa in North Eastern Brazil. Initially I thought they were sharks and got my fists ready to bop them on the nose (I've never tried this method personally but hoped desperately that Bruce Irwin was right!) but then they jumped up out of the water in a beautiful spin and I knew I was safe. An even more amazing experience was being able to swim my dolphin fanatic friend out there in a rubber ring for her to experience it too.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ever have one of those embarrassing moments when you miss your mates high-five and smack a passer by? Next time, look at their elbow instead of their hand and you're sure to hit dead on five!

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Brazil, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Germany, India, Peru, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
