ABOUT ME
I like spending proper time with people, and not watching tv. I'm incredibly laid back and havn't been angry since about 2005. I work as a playwright, with a theatre company called Made In China that performs across UK and internationally, most recently at the National Theatre (London) and Intacto Festival (Spain). I go to see other shows compulsively. I run workshops with children at schools and theatres and tutor for children with special educational needs. I see life as a chance to share words and food and music and experiences with people, learning their ways and bartering back some of mine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekking in the himalayas left me awestruck. Also left me snow-blind for 2 days. Best not to forget your sunglasses on a 5 day trek in knee-deep snow.
Three Kingdoms - a play by Simon Stephens I saw recently with British, Estonian and German actors, loads of mess and dark happenings...
And the most moving experience of my life was probably sitting in a tent listening to a Bedouin man in Palestine talk for an hour, beauifully, sadly about his communitys struggle under occupation.
Teach, Learn, Share
I relish a good old fashioned cook. I can cook anything. I don't even need a recipe. In fact, i prefer it without a recipe. It always tastes really nice honestly. Also, I can hold impromtu writing workshops in which pens, nay, even the written word itself, aren't needed. I know a lovely, leisurely and little-known card game with a mildly rude name that will soften the blow of any long-distance train journey or suchlike. I have a sweet, if fragile singing voice honed during my days as part of an esteemed North London children's choir.
