I'm living the dream! I'm a 5 year 25 year old girl (whoops 26 now) from Amsterdam, who's traveled Australia for 2 years. Due to an expiring passport I'm back in Amsterdam .. and even though I graduated as primary school teacher, I'm also working as a bartender in a busy hotel in the centre of Amsterdam. This way I still enjoy the beauty of meeting travelers all over the world.. which makes me want to leave home and start globe-trotting again even more :-)

>>Not anymore now.. teaching 4th grade primary school full time now! Gives me a lot of holidays to have more and more adventures :D

You only live once, but I think.. if you do it right, once is enough!

So as my granny would say 'Geniet van het leven' ..or simply in English enjoy life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met a few people here in Amsterdam and showed them around. They were pretty cool and I had a lot of fun..
Since I've been travelling myself I've met some people who showed me around and gave me a good time too. The Couchsurfing concept is truly amazing :)

Interests

First of all travelling!
I love having fun; meeting new people and different cultures. I like to cook and I like eating even more :)

I appreciate a good book.. either on a sunny beach or in front of a big fire with a hot choco (and whipedcream off course) Addict to watching films too.

Love to sport, go out and dance.. festivals are the best! Being lazy every now and then isn't bad either.. and also sleeping is high on the list.
However.. you can wake me up for chocolate, anytime!!

But in the end, I just want to have FUN! :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies.
Just love them. - Thrillers, action and even a bit of romance every now and then.
All time favorite will be the Green Mile.
And I'm a sucker for true stories too :)

Music.
Like almost everything. MJ is and will always be King of Pop in my eyes, but saying that.. at the moment I'm in de spirit of Australian bands such as The Cat Empire, Jackson Jackson and Xavier Rudd can't miss from this list. Also Jack Johnson and the John Buther Trio are awesome!

Music festivals make me love everything even more.. the music, the people and everything around it, that's what it's all about - living the dream!

Books.
Rather read English books, than Dutch.. to me a story is much more alive in English.. I really lik Jody Piccoult, not just 'my sisters keeper', but also her other books are brilliant.
Just read 50 Shades - which definitly lives up the expectations..
The HungerGames are absolutly AMAZING.

'Marching Powder' (a book by Rusty Young) is a definite one to add to your list! A true story about prisonlife in Bolivia.. Not telling anymore..just read and see for yourself ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping out of a plane is defenitly one of my favourite things!! Besides that.. all the people I've met during my travels, they made my trip to what it is, was and will be!

I'm an addict to adventure :)
